Rehlah Deligasi IBS Ke USIM Mencari Keserasian

Delegasi Pusat Pengajian Perniagaan Islam (IBS), UUM mencari keserasian dengan kunjungan (rehlah) ke Fakulti Ekonomi dan Muamalat (FEM), Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM). Ketua delegasi ini, Prof. Madya Dr. Selamah Maamor, Timbalan Dekan IBS bersama lima (5) orang lagi staf akademik IBS membawa hajat untuk mengadakan mobiliti pelajar dan cadangan dual atau dwi ijazah dengan USIM. Menurut beliau, kedatangan delegasi IBS disambut dengan tangan terbuka dan USIM khususnya FEM memang ternanti-nanti akan peluang kerjasama seumpama ini. Justeru, keserasian yang dicari dapat direalisasikan dengan rehlah ini dan kesepakatan terhasil bagi memastikan aktiviti mobiliti pelajar berkredit akan terlaksana.

Delegasi IBS berkunjung ke USIM juga bagi memenuhi jemputan pihak USIM ke Majlis Syarahan Umum Tuanku Canselor USIM yang disampaikan oleh Yang Berbahagia Datuk Dr. Mohd Daud Bakar yang juga merupakan Profesor Adjung IBS sendiri. IBS dalam rehlahnya kali ini juga turut sempat memperkenalkan dua jabatan baru IBS iaitu Jabatan Kewangan Islam dan Ekonomi Islam serta Jabatan Muamalat dan Pembangunan Halal. Turut serta dalam rehlah ini adalah Prof. Madya Dr. Zairani Zainol selaku Ketua Jabatan Kewangan Islam dan Ekonomi Islam.

Tutor IBS Terima Anugerah 'Most Active User Visited Library 2016'

IBS ONLINE: Tutor Pusat Pengajian Perniagaan Islam (IBS) iaitu En. Mohd Fikri Sofi telah menerima Anugerah ‘Most Active User Visited Library 2016’ sempena Pesta Buku Utara 2016 yang bertempat di Foyer Perpustakaan Sultanah Bahiyah, UUM pada 27 Februari 2017 yang lepas. Anugerah telah disampaikan oleh Yang Berusaha Prof. Dr. Noor Azizi Ismail, Timbalan Naib Canselor, Penyelidikan dan Inovasi yang mewakili Naib Canselor UUM.

Dengan pengiktirafan ini diharap dapat memberi motivasi kepada staf IBS yang lain untuk terus meningkatkan lagi penggunaan bahan bacaan di Perpustakaan UUM. Dekan dan seluruh warga IBS merakamkan sekalung tahniah kepada Mohd Fikri Sofi dan berharap segala usaha dan semangat yang ditunjukkan dapat ditingkatkan lagi pada masa akan datang.

UUM & Mohammed V University Agree To Offer Scholarships To Postgraduate Students

UUM ONLINE: Morocco, 14 February – The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between UUM and Mohammed V University sealed, among others, the accord between both universities to offer joint scholarships to students who wish to pursue postgraduate studies at either university.

The MoU was signed by the Vice-Chancellor of UUM, Prof. Dato' Seri Dr. Mohamed Mustafa Ishak, and the President of Mohammed V University, Prof. Saaid Amzazi. Both universities also reached an agreement on offering a Master's degree under a twinning programme.

Mohammed V University is a public university located in Rabat, with a total student population of 80,000. The university offers high-level executive training in administration and education. In fact, it has produced many prominent alumni, including their former Prime Minister, Driss Jettou.

The university is one of the best universities in Morocco and is ranked among the 801+ best universities in the world in the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings 2017, and among the universities within the 201-250 positions in the world in THE BRICS and Emerging Economies University Rankings 2017.

With the signing of this MoU, UUM has succeeded in forging collaborative links with two of the three best universities in Morocco. It was only a few days ago that UUM successfully inked a MoU with the University of Hassan II De Casablanca, which is ranked as the 3rd best university in Morocco.

Also present at the MoU signing ceremony was the Malaysian ambassador to Morocco, Dato’ Jamal Hassan.

UUM Establishes Collaborative Partnership With UNISSA, Brunei Darussalam

UUM ONLINE: Rabat, Morocco 15 February - The working visits to Morocco and Algeria by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dato' Seri Dr. Mohamed Mustafa Ishak, came to a gratifying conclusion with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Sultan Sharif Ali Islamic University (UNISSA), Brunei Darussalam.

The signing ceremony took place at the Embassy of Brunei in Morocco. At the ceremony, UUM was represented by the Vice-Chancellor while UNISSA was represented by its Rector, Dr. Haji Norarfan Haji Zainal.

Among the prospective collaborative ventures agreed upon by the universities were student mobility programmes, staff exchanges, and twinning degree programmes.

UNISSA, which was established in 2007 as the first national Islamic university of Brunei, is the second government funded university in the country.

Located in Bandar Seri Begawan, the university aspires towards becoming a progressive and dynamic Islamic university of international standing that is firmly based upon the teachings of the Quran and the Sunnah.

UUM Widens Collaborative Horizons On The African Continent

UUM ONLINE: Morocco, 11 February – Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM), represented by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dato' Seri Dr. Mohamed Mustafa Ishak, sealed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the University of Hassan II De Casablanca, yesterday.

The University of Hassan II De Casablanca was represented by its President, Prof. Idriss Mansouri, who signed the MoU on its behalf. The signing was witnessed by Dato' Jamal Hassan, the Malaysian Ambassador to Morocco.

The MoU is aimed at fostering collaborative engagement between the two institutions in a range of areas, specifically Islamic Banking and Finance and the concerns of the World Association of Business Schools in Islamic Countries (WAiBS), as well as research and student exchange programmes.

With a total student population of 100,000 and a presence in the field since 1975, the University of Hassan II De Casablanca ranks as the 3rd best university in Morocco and the 15th best on the African continent in the QS African University Rankings.

Also present at the signing ceremony were the Dean of the Islamic Business School (IBS), UUM, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Asmadi Mohamed Naim, and the Director of the CIAC, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mohamad Farizal Rajemi.

The Vice-Chancellor is in Morocco to attend the Conference of Presidents, Rectors, and Vice-Chancellors of the Universities of the Islamic world.
