awards eoulUUM ONLINE: Efforts to put UUM in the world map paid off for four UUM researchers when two of their innovative products bagged both the gold and silver medals at the World Invention Creativity Contest (WICC) 2016 held in Seoul, Korea recently.

The research team led by Prof. Dr. Abdullah Abdul Ghani consisted of Dr Mohd Shahril Ahmad Razimi, Dr Selamah Maamor, Dr Ahmad Bashir Abd Aziz and Dr Norazlina Abdul Wahab submitted two products, namely IBA Easy Grow which won the gold and MySpirituality Module which bagged the silver medal.

Dr Mohd Shahril said that they did not expect to win since the products produced were Islamic based products and Koreans would find such products rather perplexing and such product may not even be accepted.

“The IBA Easy Grow is the result of a collaborative research effort done with the industry. The result is the production of the spiritually based halal fertigation product.

"IBA Easy Grow is an all-natural sharia based fertilizer that does not make use of animal waste and is environmentally friendly, in addition, the process of making it adheres strictly to the principles of Islam," he said.

"We are indeed grateful and ecstatic with our success as it is our daawah and we would like to introduce Islam and put UUM and in particular IBS on to the world stage. We were determined to participate in this particular competition and were ready to compete against the 400 universities from around the world.

Ifthor Qaseh Ramadhan IFBA IBS

kuponUUM ONLINE: Mahasiswa UUM berpeluang menikmati juadah berbuka puasa percuma selama 2 minggu sebelum bercuti hari raya menerusi program amal, Ifthor Qaseh Ramadhan di UUM.

Manakala Pelajar Ijazah Sarjana Muda Pengurusan Teknologi, Nurfatin Syafiqah Samsudin berpendapat pemberian kupon sedikit sebanyak meringankan beban sempena kedatangan Ramadan.
