UUM ONLINE: Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and Innovation), Prof. Dr Haim Hilman Abdullah, who is performing the duties of Vice-Chancellor continued to share motivational words as an inspiration and encouragement to the staff of Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) to work more cohesively as a team.

"Do not make ourselves exclusive; rather, make ourselves the lecturer to the people, because goodness has the power to change others; thus, we must always approach and assist them. For instance, a lecturer's brief words to students can ignite their spirit to grasp success and impress them with our politeness.

"Improve the quality of teaching and learning, teach students with compassion, pray for their success, and set an example for them," he said yesterday at the Sultanah Bahiyah Library during the Presentation of Rankings by Subject Certificate to the Islamic Business School (IBS).

Prof. Dr Haim Hilman expressed pride in being a teammate in moving forward and urged all staff to carry out their responsibilities by attempting to assist one another.

Being at this university, he said, meant having to fight hard to ensure that everyone not only became a member of UUM, but also a historical artist whose work would be preserved here.

During the ceremony, he presented the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings by Subject 2022 certificate to the Dean of IBS, Assoc. Prof. Dr Muhammad Nasri Md.
Hussain, in recognition of IBS's success in being ranked in the top 201-250 in the world for the subject of Business and Economics.

Meanwhile, Assoc. Prof. Dr Muhammad Nasri stated that IBS's efforts were coordinated with those of the university's goal of providing the best service to its beloved students.

According to him, IBS staff will continue to collaborate in order to achieve UUM's goal of becoming the Eminent Management University.

He also expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Prof. Dr Haim Hilman, who has always been a source of encouragement in achieving excellence, as well as the guests who attended the event.
